Oricia Smith

Oricia Smith is the current President & SVP of Investment Solutions at Sun Life Financial. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Managing Director, Head of International Investment Centre, Product Development and Analytics at SLC Management from March 2020 to October 2020. Oricia has also worked with Sun Life Financial as the Vice President of International Investment Centre from August 2016 to March 2020, and at Invesco Ltd. as VP of Business Strategy - North America Institutional from January 2016 to August 2016.

Oricia started their career in 1999 as Vice President of Product Research and Development at Invesco Canada, and later moved on to work with the Government of Ontario as part of the Privatization Secretariat. In this role, they advised on the $3.1 billion outsourcing of the operation of Highway 407. Oricia has also worked as an Analyst in Investment Banking at TD from January 1995 to December 1997, and as an Assistant Trader at Calgary Stock Exchange with First Canada Securities from May 1993 to September 1993.

Oricia Smith has an MBA and an HBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University.

Oricia Smith reports to Jacques Goulet, President, Sun Life Financial Canada. They are on a team with Véronique Dorval - SVP, Client Experience Office, Mike Schofield - VP, Chief Actuary & Chief Risk Officer, and Dave Jones - SVP, Group Benefits.
