Chetan Maini

Chetan Maini is a prominent entrepreneur and engineer with extensive experience in the electric vehicle sector. Currently serving as Co-founder and Chairman of SUN Mobility since April 2017, Chetan has also been a Partner at Virya Mobility 5.0 and Director at the Maini Group since early 2017. With a rich history in electric vehicle innovation, Chetan founded Mahindra Reva Electric Vehicles Pvt Ltd, where significant strides were made in developing India's first electric car and launching the e2o model. Previous roles include Program Manager at Amerigon, focusing on EV technologies, and Director at Lithium Urban Technologies, aimed at establishing electric mobility infrastructure in India. Chetan holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, alongside further education at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School.
