Ken Plata

Ken Plata has over 30 years of experience in engineering and project management, currently serving as Engineering Manager for Corporate Capital Expenditures at SunCoke Energy since July 2008. In this role, Ken oversees the development, execution, and start-up of significant capital projects at coal-coke facilities, focusing on operational modifications and equipment upgrades. Prior to this, Ken was a Senior Project Manager at Jacobs Engineering Group from June 1997 to June 2008, managing high-value projects and overseeing all phases from business development to project execution. Earlier in the career, Ken held a Senior Project Manager position at Ford, Bacon & Davis, LLC. Ken holds an M.B.A. in Accounting and Finance from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Power Generation from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
