Derek Davies

Derek Davies is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in trading and management. Currently serving as Vice President of Trading at Suncor Energy since September 2018, Derek has held prominent positions at renowned financial institutions. This includes roles as Managing Director at Deutsche Bank AG and Sohkan Capital Management Inc., as well as President at Deutsche Bank Commodities Canada Ltd. Previous experience includes senior positions at UBS Investment Bank and Enron, where Derek was Vice President. Educational qualifications comprise an MBA from Queen's University, an MA in Economics from the University of Guelph, and a BA in Economics from the University of Calgary.
