Chris Eheim

Founder + CTO at Sunflower Labs

Chris Eheim has worked in the aviation industry since 2004. Chris began their career at FreeFlight Systems as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed embedded software for GPS navigation systems and GPS/WAAS sensor systems. Chris was later promoted to Principal Software Engineer and Project Engineering Manager, where they led the engineering team in the development of a cockpit audio alerting system and a PC-based moving map software application. In 2012, they joined Sagetech Corporation as an Engineering Manager, where they managed a team of 9 engineers in the development of a dual-band, 978 MHz and 1090 MHz, ADS-B receiver including AHRS and GPS. In 2013, they moved to RUAG Aviation as an Engineering Project Manager. Finally, in 2016, Chris founded Sunflower Labs, where they currently serve as the Founder and CTO.

Chris Eheim obtained their Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2001, after having attended the same institution from 1999-2001. Chris then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed in 2003.
