Merja Hirvonen

Merja Hirvonen serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Suomen Apteekkariliitto since December 2014, contributing extensive leadership experience to the pharmaceutical sector. In addition to this role, Hirvonen is a board member for several organizations, including Pharmadata Oy, Medifon oy, and Pharmapress oy, all since April 2015. Previously, Hirvonen was the Managing Director of the Association for Private Healthcare Services from August 2012 to December 2014 and held various positions at the Federation of Finnish Enterprises, including Chief of Labour Market Affairs. Early career accomplishments include serving as a Legal Adviser for the Union of Professional Business Graduates in Finland and Chairman of the Student Union of the National Coalition Party. Educational background includes a Master of Laws from the University of Helsinki and ongoing Executive MBA studies at Aalto University.
