Filipe Cabaço has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of software engineering. Filipe began their career with an internship at Accenture in 2012, where they gained experience in web application development using Spring Framework and worked on both front-end and back-end tasks.
After their internship, Filipe joined Accenture as a Software Engineer Associate, further expanding their skills in web service integration and business logic development. Filipe also worked with HTML/CSS, pure JS, and Dojo Framework 'widgets'.
In 2014, Filipe moved on to Ocado Technology, where they joined the Non Food Team and was responsible for implementing new features and developing tools using Scala, Akka, and PostgreSQL technologies.
The following year, they joined Top10 as a Software Engineer, working on the backend development team and focusing on hotel meta-search engine data handling. Filipe gained experience in Scala, Akka, Amazon Web Services (Dynamo, SQS, SNS, RedShift), ElasticSearch, and Redis.
In 2016, Filipe joined Talkdesk as a Software Engineer, contributing to the Platform team and creating new tools and services to support security, operations, and engineering teams. Filipe primarily worked with Elixir, Kotlin, and Ruby, but also explored Clojure and Scala through small prototypes.
The journey continued at Equal Experts in 2017, where Filipe served as a Senior Software Developer, before moving to Volkswagen Digital Solutions in 2018 as a Software Developer. At Volkswagen, they were a member of the seed team and contributed to opening the new VW Lab in Lisbon. Filipe worked on building products using Golang, Kotlin, and React.
In 2020, Filipe held roles at Beyond Pricing and Hopin as a Senior Software Engineer, before joining Remote in 2021 as a Senior Software Engineer. Currently, they are working at Supabase as a Software Engineer, starting in 2022.
