André Bearfield

André Bearfield has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. André currently holds the position of Director of Product Management at Great Expectations, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, André worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Washington starting in December 2022.

At DigitalOcean, André held multiple roles, including Senior Director of Product Strategy from December 2022 to April 2023, Director of Product from June 2021 to December 2022, Senior Manager of Product from October 2020 to June 2021, and Senior Product Manager from October 2017 to October 2020.

André was also a Co-Founder of HERE Seattle, a community organization focused on promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace. André held this position from March 2014 to October 2020.

André joined IBM in July 2015 through the acquisition of Blue Box, where they served as Senior Director of Product for the Blue Box Private Cloud Platform. André played a crucial role in integrating Blue Box Cloud technology into the IBM Cloud organization. André left IBM in August 2017.

Before joining IBM, André served as a Young Professionals Board Member at Treehouse, an organization dedicated to providing foster children with a better future. André held this position from July 2012 to September 2015.

Prior to that, André worked at Blue Box as Senior Director of Product from May 2013 to July 2015, where they were responsible for software development and third-party integrations. André also served as the Director of Business Operations from March 2012 to May 2013, playing a key role in the company's acquisition by IBM.

André's early career includes roles at digital.forest, where they worked as a Senior Program Manager from June 2010 to February 2012, and as an Account Manager from September 2006 to June 2010. At digital.forest, they led the company's expansion and transitioned it into a tier 2 colocation provider, ultimately leading to its acquisition by institutional capital.

André Bearfield graduated from Hendrix College with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, specializing in Biology. André attended Hendrix College from 2001 to 2005. In addition to their undergraduate education, André has obtained several certifications. André completed a course on Mergers and Acquisitions from Emeritus in March 2022.
