Catalina Wilmers has worked in a variety of roles in the fields of Quality Assurance (QA), Research Services, Customer Support, Metadata Consulting, Digital Initiatives, Project Archiving, and Archival Consulting. In 2020, they began their current role as a QA Engineer at Superhuman. From 2012 to 2020, they worked at ORCID, where their roles included QA and Researcher Services Manager, QA Lead and API User Support, and Customer Support Lead. In 2012, they were a Metadata Consultant for Newport Cultural Coalition and a Digital Initiatives Coordinator for The Five Colleges of Ohio. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Project Archivist for Arizona Archives Online. In 2007, they were a Contract Archival Consultant for Dart Container. From 2003 to 2007, they worked as a Student Worker for the William L Clements Library and as an Intern in the Archives Department for The Coca-Cola Company. In 2004, they were a Summer Intern for the National Park Service Keweenaw National Historical Park.
Catalina Wilmers received a Master of Information Science from the University of Michigan in 2008, with a focus in Archives and Records Management. Catalina also received a Bachelor's Degree in History from the University of Michigan in 2006.
