Christopher Magnan

Christopher Magnan has extensive experience in the fields of telecommunications, cyber security, and technology management. Christopher has held various roles in both private and government sectors, consistently demonstrating expertise in program management, network consolidation, and cybersecurity. Notably, they worked as a Program Director at Superlative Technologies, where they managed a global telecommunication platform for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Christopher has also served as a Senior Manager at General Dynamics Information Technology, where they played a key role in improving cyber security inspection scores and expanding the United States Army's network capacity to support telework during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Christopher has been an invited speaker at industry conferences, sharing their knowledge on topics such as IoT cybersecurity and managing and protecting 5G network devices. Prior to their work in the technology sector, they gained experience as a background actor for TV and movie productions. Christopher has a strong background in technology consulting and project management, having worked at companies such as Experis and 3eTI. Their expertise spans across a wide range of areas, including telepresence, VOIP, video, route & switch, and wireless technologies. Christopher has also been involved in pro-bono consulting to support individuals with disabilities at Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities. Christopher began their career as an RF Engineer at L-3 Communications Applied Signal and Image Technology, where they designed antenna arrays for military and homeland security applications. Throughout their career, they have consistently delivered successful outcomes, secured federal grants, and demonstrated leadership in managing teams of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.

Christopher Magnan completed an MBA from the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2008 to 2010, with a focus on Finance and Entrepreneurship. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Signal Processing and Communications from the University of Maryland College Park, which they completed from 2005 to 2007. Their undergraduate education was at Northeastern University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Physics from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Christopher Magnan has obtained several certifications. Christopher is currently awaiting certification as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², with an expected completion in October 2020. Christopher also holds certifications in Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, ITILv3 from AXELOS Global Best Practice, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in May 2012.
