Sharon Leon

Sharon Leon serves as the Quality Systems Director at Supermercados Econo Inc since January 2017, focusing on the development and implementation of quality systems for suppliers, the distribution center, and stores while ensuring compliance with Federal and Local regulations. Prior to this role, Sharon held the position of Quality Systems Manager at McDonald's Corporation from May 2010 to January 2017, overseeing quality assurance activities across the Caribbean markets. Earlier experience includes serving as a Food Industry Consultant and Food Science Professor at Inter American University of Puerto Rico from August 2005 to May 2010, and as R&D/QA Manager at Yum! Restaurants International from June 1998 to December 2004, managing quality assurance for KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. Sharon holds a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico - Mayaguez Campus.
