Himanshu Upadhyaya has over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. Himanshu is currently the Vice President and Head of Clinical Development at Supernus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Prior to this, they held various roles at Eli Lilly and Company, including Associate Vice President and Medical Fellow for the Migraine Team and Global COVID-19 Platform Team. Himanshu also served as the Global Lead Physician for Psychiatry and Pediatric Migraine and as a Senior Medical Advisor for various projects. Himanshu has also worked as an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and as an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. Throughout their career, Himanshu has conducted clinical research, managed clinical trials, and provided medical support for regulatory submissions and medical affairs.
Himanshu Upadhyaya began their education journey in 1984 at the University of Mumbai, where they pursued a degree in Medicine (MBBS) until 1991. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, they attended The University of Texas at Austin and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Neuropharmacology. Moving forward, Himanshu attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine from 1993 to 1996, specializing in a Residency in Psychiatry. In the years 1996 to 1998, they joined the Medical University of South Carolina and completed Fellowships in Child Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Lastly, from 2013 to 2015, Himanshu Upadhyaya pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business.
