Rick Leckrone has worked in the media industry for over 25 years. Rick began their career in 1995 as the Director of Technology and Content for Digital Stock Corporation, where they were responsible for the first ever commercial license to use Kodak Photo C.D. In 1998, they moved to Corbis as the Director of Commercial Photography, Royalty Free, where they were responsible for overseeing all Royalty Free content development and product strategy. In 2003, they founded Blend Images, a culturally diverse and relevant imagery company for advertising and marketing clients. In 2019, they became Co-Owner and CTO of SuperStock, a full service content licensing company, where they are responsible for full-stack development of E-Commerce, API, DAM, and AI applications.
Rick Leckrone has a diverse educational background. Rick obtained a BFA in Commercial and Fine Art Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology between 1986 and 1990. Rick also attended the University of Maryland Baltimore County from 1986 to 1988, studying Photography and English. In 2003 and 2004, they attended the UNLV Lee Business School, studying Business Administration and Management, General. In 2013, they obtained a Front End Web Design Certificate from General Assembly. In 2015, they obtained a Front End Web Development certification from General Assembly. Rick also holds a Private Pilot License - Airplane Single Engine Land from the FAA.
