Shangrong Soh's work experience begins in 2006 when they joined BDO Binder Malaysia as an Executive Consultant. They learned about insolvency rules and requirements and assisted financial institutions in receivership of defaulted companies, as well as gained experience in distressed asset management and loan recovery. In 2008, Shangrong Soh moved on to work as an Assistant Manager at Sage 3 Capital Sdn Bhd, Malaysia's largest debt restructuring firm. They developed strategies to restructure corporate debt, performed financial reviews, feasibility assessments, and built financial and valuation models. In 2011, Shangrong Soh founded Banana Planters Sdn Bhd, an agricultural company focused on the cultivation and distribution of cash crops, such as bananas and pineapples. After three years, they co-founded Supplycart in 2014. Supplycart is Malaysia's premier B2B e-Procurement platform that aims to help companies achieve efficiency and cost savings through digital transformation. Shangrong Soh helped build a data-driven technology platform called ADAM, which centralizes e-Procurement and vendor management. Their role involved connecting businesses to a vetted pool of suppliers and over 20,000 office-related products and services.
Shangrong Soh completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from RMIT University from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2001, they attended SMK Taman S.E.A. However, no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period.
