Pratik Sarkar

Research Scientist, Cryptography at SupraOracles

Pratik Sarkar is currently a Research Scientist in the Cryptography team at SupraOracles, specializing in Verifiable Randomness Services, Threshold Cryptosystems, Zero-Knowledge, and Secure Computation since September 2023. Pratik completed a PhD in Secure Computation and Zero-Knowledge at Boston University from September 2018 to August 2023, under the advisement of Ran Canetti. Prior experience includes a Research Engineer Intern role at Meta from May 2022 to October 2022, focusing on privacy in the Statistics and Privacy team through the Interoperable Private Attribution project, and a Research Scientist intern position at Visa from May 2021 to August 2021, where the focus was on post-quantum secure cryptography. Pratik holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science, obtained between 2015 and 2018, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from IIEST, Shibpur from 2011 to 2015. Early education includes a high school diploma in Science from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan from 2009 to 2011 and foundational education at Julien Day School from 1996 to 2009.
