Gabriel Martinez-Rodriguez has over 10 years of work experience in product management and program management roles. Gabriel is currently working as a Senior Product Manager at Sure, where they started in January 2022. Previously, Gabriel worked at Unearth Technologies, Inc. as a Product Manager from March 2020 to December 2021, managing mobile solutions and partnerships with construction platforms. Before that, they were a Senior Product Manager at Uplight from July 2019 to March 2020, overseeing customer activation and program automation software. Gabriel also held various roles at EnergySavvy from March 2015 to July 2019, including a Senior Technical Program Manager and a Technical Program Manager, where they launched innovative customer support products and migrated solutions to a microservices platform. Earlier in their career, Gabriel worked at Microsoft in program management and software development roles, focusing on product release services, enterprise commerce, and Windows Phone services. Gabriel started as an intern in 2010 and continued as a Software Development Engineer in Test until 2015. Before joining Microsoft, Gabriel gained experience as an Undergraduate Research Student at the University of Puerto Rico and as a New Products Engineer at Stryker Co, where they led the design of various medical devices. Throughout their career, Gabriel has demonstrated expertise in managing product roadmaps, driving user experience and engagement, and leading cross-functional teams.
Gabriel Martinez-Rodriguez completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez from 2004 to 2011. In 2007, they also attended Universidad Complutense de Madrid for a short period of time, where they took courses in Sociology and Political Sciences.
In addition to their formal education, Gabriel has obtained several certifications. In March 2019, they earned a certificate in "The Data Scientist's Toolbox" from Coursera. In June 2018, they completed a course on "Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals", also on Coursera. Furthermore, in September 2013, they became a Certified ScrumMaster through ScrumAlliance.
