Chris Hughes

Chris Hughes has extensive experience in the care and volunteer sectors, currently serving as a Care Assistant at SureCare UK since June 2020. Additionally, Chris has held positions as a Relief Sports Assistant at Loughborough University since March 2017 and has been actively volunteering with Loughborough Town of Sanctuary since January 2017, assisting individuals connected to the East Midlands Immigration Enforcement Centre. Chris served as the Labour Party candidate for Quorn in the May 2023 Borough Council election and volunteered at multiple organizations, including the San Martin Centre in Ukraine and Macmillan Cancer Support. Prior to these roles, Chris was the Head of Resourcing at HM Government's Ministry of Justice from November 2009 to January 2017. Educational background includes attendance at Edward Cludd/Minster School Southwell from 1973 to 1978.
