Matt Murphy received their education from the University of Minnesota, where they studied Technical Communication from 1998 to 2003. During their time there, they focused on technical writing, interface design, business/economics, management information systems (MIS), and training. In addition to their degree, they obtained a certification from Pragmatic Marketing, specifically the Pragmatic Marketing Certified – Level III (PMC-III) in August 2015.
