Michael Doherty

Michael Doherty has extensive experience in the water and wastewater sector, currently serving as the Wastewater Treatment Coordinator at Fraser Coast Regional Council since November 2022. Additionally, Michael has contributed to community awareness initiatives as an SLSQ Community Awareness Presenter for Surf Life Saving Queensland since September 2020. Previous roles include Team Manager for Water and Wastewater at Townsville City Council and Manager Operations & Maintenance for Gympie Regional Council. Michael's career began at Unitywater as Engineering Operations Manager from July 2010 to April 2017. Educational qualifications include an Associate Diploma of Electrical, Electronic & Communications from South Bank TAFE and graduation from Sandgate High.
