Mike Watson

Growing up on Florida’s wave-famished Gulf Coast, DIY surf forecasting was an essential part of Mike Watson’s upbringing. More often than not, the teenager had to travel several hours, if not multiple days, to catch a wave. Mike relocated to the Sebastian inlet zone before going on to earn a BS and MS in Meteorology from Florida State University and went pro with Surfline in 2002.
