Zoe Melanie M. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in physical rehabilitation services, project management, and research on marine pollution and community development. Currently serving at Island Health since June 2014, Zoe supports over 60 therapists in the Greater Victoria Area and co-chairs the Occupational Health and Safety Committee. As a project lead for the Surfrider Foundation, Zoe focuses on marine pollution issues while also holding leadership roles in strategic planning and lobbying against single-use plastics. Previous roles include consulting for non-profits, project development in various international contexts, and research with organizations such as UNESCO and the University of Amsterdam. Zoe's educational background includes advanced degrees in Cultural Anthropology and Maritime Anthropology, alongside a Bachelor's in Economics Communication.
