Kee Tang has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. From 2018 to the present, they have held the role of Director, Software Engineering, Black Box Connect at Surgical Safety Technologies Inc. Before that, from 2013 to 2017, they worked at Decanex Inc. as an Applications Development Manager, where they led a team in developing a web-based blood pressure monitor and achieved Health Canada approval and CE-mark for the product. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2013, Kee Tang was employed at Profound Medical Inc., first as a Senior Software/System Developer and later as a Software Manager/Architect/Project Manager. During this time, they managed software-related projects and led a team of developers and testers. From 2004 to 2008, Kee Tang worked as a Research Engineer at Sunnybrook, where they designed and developed software for MRI-guided ultrasound treatment and implemented serial port communications to hardware components.
Kee Tang has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Systems Design Engineering (Co-op) from the University of Waterloo, where they graduated with Distinction. Additionally, they spent six months as an exchange student at the National University of Singapore, studying for a B.A.Sc. in an unspecified field of study. Kee Tang's educational journey continued at the University of Toronto, where they pursued a Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) degree in Biomedical Engineering (IBBME).
