Mary Sellke has a diverse work experience, starting in 2008 as the Executive Director of Surly Gives A Damn (SGAD), a non-profit community action organization affiliated with Surly Brewing Co. In this role, they provided program leadership, strategic vision, and support, managing community engagement and developing relationships with over 30 local non-profits. Mary coordinated nearly 40,000 volunteer hours of service across 300 community projects, with the help of 3,000 volunteers over a span of 10 years. In 2011, they joined The Loppet Foundation as a Sponsorship Coordinator, a position they held until 2013.
Mary Sellke attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Mary'sfield of study was Health and Physical Education/Fitness, with a focus on Gerontology. In June 2020, Mary obtained an additional certification as an Ordained Minister from the Church of the Latter-Day Dude.
