Gary R. Maharaj

Gary R. Maharaj is the current President and Chief Executive Officer at SurModics. Prior to this, they were the President & CEO at Arizant Healthcare from September 2001 to December 2010. Gary has also worked as a Research Engineer at Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics from January 1988 to December 1992.

Gary R. Maharaj has a MBA from the University of Minnesota, an MS in BioMedical Engineering from UT Arlington / UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and a BSc in Natural Sciences with a focus in Physics from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus. Gary also attended Boys High School at St Mary's College in Port of Spain.
