Viraj Boreda

Viraj Boreda started their work experience as a Software Engineer Intern at The Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation in the summer of 2019. Viraj also worked as a Summer Intern in the Radiology Department at Children's National Health System during the same period. In 2020, Viraj interned as part of the Aspiring Scientists Summer Internship Program (ASSIP) at George Mason University, where they analyzed image segmentation techniques and machine learning classifiers to detect malaria in blood smear cell images. Viraj presented their findings at a conference organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar. In 2021, Viraj worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Yext, where they built web pages for customers and updated customer web pages while leveraging the Yext Cloud Platform. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Surmount AI, starting from October 2021. In 2022, they also worked as a Tech Incubator Intern at Capital One from January to April.

Viraj Boreda has a High School Diploma in STEM from Thomas Jefferson High for Science and Technology, which they received from 2017 to 2021. Viraj is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, and they are expected to graduate in 2025.
