Alanna Wood

Alanna Wood is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in teaching secondary math and science since December 2018 at Surrey Schools (School District #36 Surrey). Prior to this role, Alanna developed strong customer service and multitasking skills as a server at Ocean Park Village Pub from April 2012 to April 2020 and worked as a hostess at Cactus Club Cafe from May 2009 to June 2011. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology and Genetics from The University of British Columbia and multiple educational diplomas focused on secondary education and guidance studies from Queen's University, The University of British Columbia, and Simon Fraser University. Alanna also contributed to research as a summer research assistant at The University of British Columbia, working on projects related to botany and genetics.
