Amber Young

Amber Young is an experienced educator currently serving as a Grade One Teacher at Cornerstone Christian Academy since August 2023, where responsibilities include implementing the B.C. curriculum. Amber has also worked as a Teacher Teaching On Call for Surrey Schools since December 2022, teaching a range of grades and fostering the holistic development of students. Previous roles include Library Assistant and Office Administrative Assistant at Simon Fraser University, which provided valuable administrative and clerical experience. Amber’s teaching background includes a Student Teacher position at Strawberry Hill Elementary School, focusing on individualized lesson planning and accommodating students with special needs. Other experiences involve instructing at Pro-Merita Learning Centre, providing caregiver support, and engaging in mental health support work as an intern. Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with double majors in Health Sciences and Psychology from Simon Fraser University.
