Claudia Janda

Co-founder at Surrozen

Claudia Janda has extensive work experience in the field of protein engineering and cancer research. Claudia currently serves as a Principal Investigator at the Prinses Máxima Centrum voor kinderoncologie, where they focus on Pediatric Osteosarcoma Research and Protein Engineering. In this role, they utilize protein/antibody engineering and proteomics approaches to study signaling pathways related to pediatric cancer and develop antibody-based signaling modulators with therapeutic potential. Prior to this, Claudia was a Co-founder and Senior Scientist at Surrozen from 2016 to 2018. Claudia also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2008 to 2016, where they studied the molecular mechanisms of the Wnt signaling pathway and engineered Wnt signaling modulators. Claudia started their career as a PhD Student at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology from 2003 to 2008, and they also gained experience as a Summer Intern at ESBATech, a Novartis company, and an MSc Student at ETH Zurich.

Claudia Janda's education history is as follows:

From 2008 to 2014, Claudia Janda pursued postdoctoral studies at Stanford University School of Medicine. The field of study during this period is not specified.

Prior to that, from 2003 to 2008, Claudia Janda attended the University of Cambridge, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Earlier on, from 1998 to 2003, Claudia Janda pursued their Master's Degree at ETH Zurich, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
