Coleman Cunningham joined SAM soon after its founding in 1994. He has over 40 years of experience in surveying and has successfully managed project work for clients in the electric transmission, oil and gas, and construction industries, as well as a variety of public sector clients.
Coleman has served many roles during his career at SAM. Among them, he was Principal-In-Charge of the Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Department, he established the Construction Surveying Department, and he has overseen the Corporate Field Operations since joining the company. Coleman has also managed SAM’s Corporate Safety Operations, he is Principal-In-Charge of the Construction Staking Division, and he continues to be highly involved with Corporate Capital Expenditures. He is a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors (TSPS), Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Austin Contractors and Engineers Association (ACEA), Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC), and the International Right-of-Way Association (IRWA).
Coleman’s favorite SAM core value is People and he is passionate about helping and caring for them. He is active in the community by helping others in need and he volunteers for several nonprofit organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House and Central Texas Food Bank.
