Lizzy Glazer has a diverse range of work experience. Lizzy has worked as a Student Intern at Jewish Life at Duke, where they were a member of the True North Leadership Cohort and George Scholar. Additionally, they have served as an Alumni Outreach for Duke Pre-Vet Society and a Research Intern at the Canine Cognition Center. Lizzy has also been an Undergraduate Leader and Mentor for The Health and Environment Scholars Program at Duke, which aims to bring together an inclusive community of high school students and undergraduate mentors. Lizzy has served as the Hub President for the Sustainable Ocean Alliance. Furthermore, Lizzy has worked as a Research Assistant at Duke University Hospital, conducting research in pediatric nephrology. Lizzy has also been a Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough Collaborative, teaching science courses and an elective on Nature and Environmental Science. Lizzy is the Founder and President of More Than Bruises, an organization working towards domestic violence prevention. In addition, they have participated in educational programs such as Seamester and International Field Studies, Inc., where they gained knowledge in marine biology and environmental science. Lizzy has also worked as a Research Intern at REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, researching and comparing domestic violence prevention curricula.
Lizzy Glazer's education history includes obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science and Conservation, as well as Neuroscience from Duke University (2022-2026). Prior to that, they earned a High School Diploma from Phillips Academy (2017-2021). Lizzy also participated in a Pre-College Program focused on Neuroscience at Harvard University (2020). Additionally, they attended Dana Hall School from 2014 to 2017. Lizzy has obtained certifications such as Divemaster (DM) from PADI in 2022 and Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Red Cross in 2020.
