Simon Macmahon

Simon MacMahon has a strong background in sustainable investing, with significant work experience at Sustainalytics. Simon started at the company in 2008 as the Director of Responsible Investment Advisory Services for North America. In 2011, they were promoted to EVP of Advisory Services, where they played a key role in assisting institutional investors in integrating ESG and responsible investment considerations into their policies and strategies. From 2016 onwards, they held the role of EVP of Research Products, showcasing their expertise in creating and maintaining sustainability indexes. In addition to their work at Sustainalytics, Simon MacMahon also served as a Board Member for the Responsible Investment Association in Canada, where they actively contributed to promoting the integration of ESG factors into investment decisions.

Simon MacMahon earned an IMBA degree in International Business from the Schulich School of Business at York University from 2006 to 2008. Prior to this, they completed their BA Hons in Philosophy at Western University from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained certifications in GHG Accounting from the GHG Management Institute and as a GRI Trainer from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
