S James Zhou

James Zhou is a seasoned professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as Senior Director at Susteon Inc. since June 2019, where the focus is on developing and commercializing CO2 capture and utilization technologies and carbon-free hydrogen production. Previously, as Chief Science Officer at RTI International from December 2015 to June 2019, leadership was provided in carbon capture and gas separation technology development. Zhou held roles as R&D Manager and Senior Institute Engineer at GTI Energy from January 2008 to December 2015, where emphasis was placed on gas processing technology and greenhouse gas separation. Earlier experience at Honeywell from 1990 to 2007 included positions as Project Leader and Senior Principal Engineer, leading aerospace materials R&D projects and developing new membrane processes. Education culminated in a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Syracuse University, completed in 1989.
