Joseph Dittberner

Joseph Dittberner has extensive work experience in facilities management and maintenance. Joseph started their career at Johnson and Johnson in 1992, where they served as a Maintenance Supervisor and later as a Supervisor until 2007. In this role, they supervised maintenance and calibration teams for cGMP manufacturing facilities and communicated equipment maintenance schedules to Manufacturing Managers.

Following their time at Johnson and Johnson, Dittberner worked as a Project Manager at Total Project Services from August 2007 to January 2008, and as a Project Manager at CKC Engineering from August 2007 to June 2008. In these positions, they provided full-service maintenance support, including technical writing, preventative maintenance, calibration, and equipment procurement support.

From 2007 to 2014, Dittberner worked at Intuity Medical as a Maintenance and Calibration professional. Joseph maintained an ISO class 8 cleanroom, managed facilities and production equipment preventative maintenance and calibration programs, and wrote all PM and calibration procedures.

In 2010, Dittberner became the Head Coach of Sunnyvale Pop Warner Football, a position they held until 2014. Joseph also served as the Safety Officer for Sunnyvale National Little League in 2014, where they revised safety procedures to meet Little League Safety initiatives and implemented background checks for all league volunteers. Joseph also ensured proper food safety procedures were followed at the Snack Shack.

Dittberner then worked at YPEX Technology Resources, LLC as a Facilities Project Engineer from June 2014 to June 2015. Joseph joined Project Manager Impax Labs as a Project Manager from June 2015 to October 2015.

Since 2016, Dittberner has been employed at Sutro Biopharma, Inc. Initially, they served as a Facilities Manager, responsible for maintaining a high level of equipment and infrastructure availability to support R&D efforts. Joseph managed vendors and routine equipment repair and maintenance for various systems. Joseph also handled more complex maintenance and repair tasks for plant and office facilities.

In 2018, Dittberner was promoted to Senior Facility Manager at Sutro Biopharma, where they continued their responsibilities in facilities management.

Currently, they hold the position of Director of Facilities at Sutro Biopharma, a role they assumed in August 2022.
