Bruce Peters has extensive work experience in the field of scientific instrumentation and software engineering. Bruce started their career in 1980 at AT&T Bell Labs, where they worked as a Member of Technical Staff until 1984. Bruce then joined The Wistar Institute as a Research Technician from 1984 to 1987. In 1998, they joined INDEC Systems, Inc. as a Sr. Scientist, focusing on software design and development for scientific instrumentation, specifically in fluorescence imaging for biomedical research. Bruce worked at INDEC Systems for a remarkable 20 years until 2018, during which they also handled customer-interface, technical support, documentation, training, and support for sales and marketing operations. Since 2018, Bruce has been working as a Software Engineer at Sutter Instrument.
Bruce Peters has a strong education background in the field of neuroscience and neurobiology. Bruce earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1980. Bruce then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed in 1981. Bruce went on to focus their studies on neuroscience, obtaining a Post-Graduate Diploma from the University of Edinburgh in 1988. Bruce further expanded their knowledge in this field by earning a PhD in Neurobiology from Harvard University in 1996.
