Emily Bertwistle has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Emily started their career in 2009 as an au pair before transitioning into a role as an English language teaching assistant in 2010. In 2013, Emily worked as a projects and communications intern at Euclid Network, followed by a position as a junior community and social media manager at Roomsurfer GmbH. Emily then joined Campanda GmbH, initially working as a junior translator and content manager before transitioning to a role as a product manager. At Campanda, Emily was responsible for localization, translation, and online content. In 2016, they joined Founders & Coders C.I.C. as a full-stack web developer, where they gained experience in JavaScript and practiced agile project management methodologies. From 2017 to 2021, Emily worked at Fluidly as a software engineer, where they took on the role of a senior software engineer, leading improvements in tooling, infrastructure, and ways of working. Currently, Emily is a senior product engineer at Suvera, beginning their role in 2022.

Emily Bertwistle attended Founders & Coders from 2016 to 2017, where they studied full-stack web development. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in German from the University of Leeds, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, Emily studied at the University of Münster in 2010 and 2011, although the information regarding their degree and field of study is unavailable. Before their university studies, they completed their A-Levels at Bullers Wood School from 2006 to 2008.
