Ifkar Arifin has a range of work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2016, they worked as a Mental Health Worker at SLV for two months. In 2017, they became a Research Assistant at Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, working on projects related to therapy and services for young offenders and individuals with antisocial personality disorder. Later that year, they also worked as a CAMHS Support and Resilience Worker at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. From 2018 to 2021, Ifkar worked as a Web Application Developer at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, focusing on a mental health software called POD. Currently, they hold the position of Co-Founder at Detak, which they started in 2021. Additionally, Ifkar is also a Product Engineer at Suvera.
Ifkar Arifin attended Dartford Grammar School from 2007 to 2014, where they completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) and GCSE qualifications. They later pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology at UCL, which they earned from 2014 to 2017.
