Phil McCaffrey

Phil McCaffrey has over 14 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Phil currently works at Sval Energi as the Reservoir Engineering Manager and previously held the role of VP Subsurface. Prior to joining Sval Energi, Phil worked at Spirit Energy as the Developments Subsurface Manager, Norway, where they led the subsurface team for the Oda Field development. Phil also served as the Senior Reservoir Engineer at Centrica Exploration and Production and Centrica Energy. Phil began their career as a Reservoir Engineer at Venture Production plc.

Phil McCaffrey completed their education in a chronological manner. In 1999, they attended The University of Edinburgh and obtained a Masters Degree in Chemistry (MChem Hons.), which took him four years to complete. Phil then pursued further studies in the field of Structural Chemistry/Physics and enrolled at The University of Edinburgh for a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) from 2004 to 2007. Finally, in 2007, they attended Heriot-Watt University for a Masters Degree (MSc) in Petroleum Engineering, which they completed in 2008.
