Caroline Ehrencrona has diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Caroline is currently serving as the Head of QA at Svar Life Science AB (formerly Euro Diagnostica AB). Prior to this, they worked at Xintela AB as the Director of Clinical Development & Regulatory Affairs from June 2016 to January 2021. Caroline also held the position of Quality Assurance Manager at TikoMed AB from May 2015 to May 2016.
Before joining TikoMed AB, Caroline worked in various roles within TikoMed AB itself. As a Project Director from March 2010 to May 2016, they contributed to managing a multicenter Phase II clinical trial sponsored by the NIH. Caroline also gained experience in toxicology assessment, CRO sub-contracting, and patent applications. Earlier in their career at TikoMed AB, they started as a Project Manager and later became a Scientist. In these roles, they were involved in the development of new methods and materials, as well as the planning and execution of preclinical studies. Caroline also managed data and results in a Phase I clinical study and wrote the main draft of the scientific report.
Caroline has also worked part-time as a Scientist at Uppsala University in collaboration with TikoMed AB. Additionally, they served as a PostDoc at Lund University where their research focused on Type 2 diabetes and the effect of different fat content in food on physiological parameters and gene expression in insulin-producing cells. During this time, they independently led a main project and participated in international collaborations.
Caroline’s earlier experience includes working as a Project Engineer at Höskolan i Kalmar. Overall, they have gained extensive experience in clinical development, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, project management, and scientific research throughout their career.
Caroline Ehrencrona began their education at Tycho Brahe skolan, where they obtained their high school diploma in Chemistry in 1993. Caroline then went on to study at Kalmar University, completing their Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from 1993 to 1998. Caroline continued their academic journey at the same university, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Sciences from 1998 to 2003.
