Maria Bäckström

Maria Bäckström has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Maria is currently working as the Head of HR Sweden at Svea Solar since September 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of HR at MTRX from August 2019 to September 2021.

Maria also has experience working at Martin & Servera, where they held the roles of HR Partner from January 2018 to August 2019 and HR Coordinator from September 2016 to December 2017. During their time at Martin & Servera, they supported and coached leaders on various HR matters and worked on development projects.

Before joining Martin & Servera, Maria worked as an HR Coordinator at Marex Spectron from November 2015 to September 2016, where they supported the global front office in recruitment, employment agreements, and performance management. Prior to their HR roles, Maria worked as a Finance and Administrative Assistant at AVEQIA London from February 2014 to July 2015. Maria also served as a Regional Sales Representative at Werners Gourmetservice AB from January 2010 to January 2014 and as a Food and Beverage Manager at Langley - the Tour and Hotel Operator with a Personal Touch from April 2007 to September 2009.

Maria Bäckström began their education in 2006 at the Uddevalla Vocational School, where they pursued an Advanced Vocational Training (KY) degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management. Maria completed this program in 2007. Afterwards, they enrolled in Stockholm University in 2011 and studied Labor Law, Business and Commercial Law, and Corporate Law, earning 15 ECTS for each subject. Maria then attended Uppsala University in 2012 for an advanced course in Commercial and Business Law, acquiring 15 ECTS credits. Maria continued their education at Uppsala University from 2013 to 2016, earning a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management.
