Julie Coxon

Julie Coxon is a Senior Scientific Officer at Swale Borough Council, with extensive experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation since October 2003. Key achievements include securing funding for site investigation projects, leading the local Contaminated Land Forum as Secretary, and overseeing major land remediation initiatives. Julie has a strong background in environmental consulting, having led various monitoring and investigative projects while collaborating closely with the Environment Agency. Previously, as a Technical Officer at Maidstone Borough Council, Julie contributed significantly to the development of the Contaminated Land Strategy in the early stages of the relevant legislation. Julie holds a Master of Science in Contaminated Land Remediation and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Control from the University of Greenwich.
