Nate Hughes

Nate Hughes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Nate is currently working at Swarm Aero as the Lead of Mission Development, a position they started in November 2022. Prior to that, Nate was the Co-Founder and Vice President - Research at Second Front Systems from 2014 to 2022. Before their time at Second Front Systems, Nate held multiple roles at Strategic Forecasting, including Chief of Intelligence Operations from 2012 to 2014, Deputy Director of Tactical Analysis from 2011 to 2012, Director of Military Analysis from 2008 to 2011, and Military Analyst from 2006 to 2008. Nate's career began in the United States Marine Corps, where they served as an Infantry Non-Commissioned Officer from 1998 to 2003.

Nate Hughes completed a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program in Computer Science at Georgetown University from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature from Lewis & Clark College, where they studied from 2004 to 2006. Nate also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in General Studies from Miami University, which they obtained between 1999 and 2001. In addition to their formal education, Nate has obtained several certifications. These include the "Management of Technology: Roadmapping & Development" certification from MIT Professional Education in December 2022, the "Human Centered Systems Thinking" certification from IDEO U in May 2022, the "Wargaming" certification from MORS in January 2022, and the "Venture Capital" certification from VC University in September 2021.
