Greg White is the chief operating officer and a Partner at Sway Ventures. He has more than 25 years of Commercial Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurial Business Development experience having successfully led global, multi-disciplinary teams across numerous Fortune 500 as well as Venture and Private Equity sponsored companies. His charter at Sway Ventures is to bring Sector Expertise, Sales Opts Rigor, Portfolio Support and “Playbook Development” to the group’s burgeoning companies.
Prior to Sway Ventures he was the SVP of WW Sales & Marketing at Boyd Corporation (sold to Genstar Capital). Before Boyd, he was the VP of WW Sales within Emerson Corporation’s Embedded Computing and Power business (sold to Platinum Equity Partners). Past endeavors also include leading Sales & Marketing at Silicon Valley Technology Center (SVTC), a Venture Capital and Private Equity owned Semiconductor Development Company (sold to Tezzaron Semiconductor and rebranded as Novati Technologies). Before SVTC, he was the SVP of Business Development at Sanmina-SCI (a publically traded, Tier One Electronics Manufacturing Services firm). Previous to Sanmina-SCI, Greg was the VP of Sales across multiple businesses at Solectron Corporation (acquired by Flextronics). He’s also held senior management positions at Anixter Corp (publically held), LuxN Corp (a Venture Capital sponsored Telecom start-up sold to Sorrento Networks) and the Angelica Corporation.
His philanthropic pursuits include City Year, RISE, Community Solutions and the Forever Young Foundation. He holds an MBA from Marylhurst University and a B.A. from California State University, San Jose.
