Christina Olson

Lead Architectural Historian at SWCA

Christina Olson has a diverse work experience in the field of architectural and landscape history. Christina is currently working as a Lead Architectural Historian at SWCA Environmental Consultants since August 2022. Prior to this, from May 2018 to September 2022, they owned and served as the Principal of Kerros Inc.

Before their time at Kerros Inc., Christina worked at Battelle Energy Alliance from September 2010 to January 2021. During their tenure, they held multiple roles such as Architectural and Landscape Historian, Archivist, and Technical Lead of the Cultural Resource Management Office. Additionally, from February 2015 to October 2017, they served as the Technical Lead.

Christina'sprevious experience includes working at New South Associates as an Architectural Historian and Historian from September 2005 to August 2010, and at the National Park Service as an Architectural Historian in May 2004.

Throughout their career, Christina has gained extensive expertise and knowledge in the field of architectural history, making their an asset to their current role as a Lead Architectural Historian.

Christina Olson's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Historic Preservation with a focus on Architectural History, Archives, and Historic Site Management from Southeast Missouri State University, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999. Christina later pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Historic Preservation with a specialization in Landscape History from The University of Georgia, which they completed from 2003 to 2005. Furthermore, they obtained a Post-Baccalaureate Geotechnology Certificate in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Idaho State University, which they obtained from 2013 to 2015.
