Shirley Innecken

Lead Natural Resources Project Manager at SWCA

Shirley Innecken has more than 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and conservation. Shirley is currently working as the Lead Natural Resources Project Manager at SWCA Environmental Consultants since October 2021. Prior to this, Shirley worked as a Restoration Specialist at the Escondido Creek Conservancy from June 2019 to October 2021. From October 2015 to December 2018, they served as the Lead Ecologist at the San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy. Before that, Shirley worked as a Biologist II at AECOM from February 2009 to May 2011 and as the San Diego County Project Coordinator at the California State Coastal Conservancy from February 2008 to February 2009. Shirley also gained experience as an Associate Biologist at RECON Environmental, Inc. from January 2007 to February 2008. Shirley's earlier roles include working as a Biologist at Gallaway Enterprises from 2004 to 2006, a Scientific Aide at the California Department of Water Resources from 1999 to 2004, and a Scientific Aide at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife from 1998 to 1999.

From 1995 to 2000, Shirley Innecken attended California State University, Chico, where they pursued a degree in Ethnobotanical Ecology. During their time at the university, Shirley focused their studies on Botany, Restoration Ecology, and Anthropology.
