Viktoria Sjolander

Viktoria Sjolander is an experienced professional in the fields of migration, international affairs, and human rights. Currently serving as an EU and International Affairs Specialist in the Office of the Director General at the Swedish Migration Agency since November 2013, Viktoria has previously held significant roles, including Deputy Director at the Swedish Institute in Alexandria and Team Leader of the International Strategy Unit at Migrationsverket, focusing on migration and development. Viktoria's extensive background includes serving as a Political Adviser for the European Union and as a Research Officer and Arabic Speaking Observer for TIPH, where tasks involved qualitative and quantitative analysis, as well as monitoring human rights violations. Viktoria holds a BSc in Middle Eastern Studies from Uppsala University and an MSc in International Politics from SOAS University of London, complemented by a range of educational qualifications in politics from the University of Gothenburg.
