Manley Hopkinson FRSA FRGS has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Manley is currently the Director of People & Performance at Sweet Projects, where they bring compassionate leadership into the construction sector and focuses on developing capability, leadership, and culture.

In 2001, they founded and became a passionate advocate for the Compassionate Leadership Academy (CLA), offering personal development programs and online courses. Additionally, they serve as an inspirational keynote speaker, sharing their experiences in racing around the world and to the North Pole, and discussing topics such as compassionate leadership and high-performing teams.

Manley also worked as an Associate at the HPO Center starting in 2008, advising global corporations on becoming High Performance Organizations using diagnostic tools and feedback. Manley served as a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company from 2017 to 2022.

Their previous roles include being the Director of People & Performance at Ark Data Centres, Director of People & Partners at Hewlett Packard Defence & Security, and Director of Organization People & Partners at Atlas Consortium. Manley was also a Race Skipper in the BT Global Challenge yacht race and part of the winning team in The Polar Race to the Magnetic North Pole.

Manley Hopkinson FRSA FRGS completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Marine Engineering from the Royal Naval Engineering College, Manadon, from 1982 to 1985. Manley also holds a certification as a CLA Coach from CLA, obtained in 2022.
