Matt Alexander

Matt Alexander is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as SVP and Chief Legal Officer at sweetgreen since June 2023, previous positions include SVP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Apeel Sciences from January 2019 to January 2023, where the company was recognized as one of Time Magazine's 50 Genius Companies. Prior to that, Matt held multiple roles at Ixia, including Interim Sales Leader and SVP, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, contributing to the company's growth and eventual acquisition by Keysight Technologies. Additional experience encompasses positions at DataDirect Networks, Move, Inc., and Irell & Manella, as well as co-founding FilmsOn.com, Inc. Matt holds a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History from UC San Diego.
