Lisa Mulrooney has worked in the design space for over a decade, beginning with their role as a Labbie and Customer Service Representative at Rochester Institute of Technology in 2010. Lisa then took on an internship at Lord & Taylor in 2009, where they were involved in graphic design work related to direct mail pieces, web and textile materials. In 2011, Lisa moved on to Tag as a Graphic Designer, designing print, out-of-home and web ads, digital and print presentations, literature and brand collateral pieces. Lisa then worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at Finish Line in 2013, designing emails and website promos. In 2014, Lisa became a UX Designer at Amadeus Consulting. From 2015 to 2020, Lisa worked at Cognizant, first as a Product Designer, then as a Product Design Manager, and finally as Head of Design. In 2020, they took on the role of Head of Product Design at Central Pacific Bank, conceptualizing and designing a new brand into a variety of digital platforms. Finally, in 2022, Lisa became VP of Product Design at Swell, conceptualizing, designing, testing and iterating a new money mobile app, and discovering and refining tactics to define the target audience. Lisa is currently also mentoring a group of 12 in product design over a 12-week course at Dribbble.
Lisa Mulrooney obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology between 2007 and 2011. In March 2021, they obtained an Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM.
