Gal Barel

Gal Barel is currently the head of finance at Swimm. Prior to that, they served as the VP finance and operations at Swimm for 2 years and 1 month. Before that, they were the director of finance at Lemonade for 9 months. Gal also served as the head of finance at Kin Ecosystem for 11 months. Additionally, they were the financial controller at Colu for 2 years and 1 month.

Gal Barel is an expert in the world of FinTech with an emphasis on digital payments, compliance, regulation, and taxation in Crypto and Blockchain technology. Gal has extensive experience leading the groups’ restructuring process, incorporating entities, establishing various financial solutions, bank accounts, transfer pricing agreements, and other corporate strategic matters.

In their role as head of finance at Swimm, Gal Barel is responsible for handling monthly and quarterly reports and MoM analysis, preparing company wide, per squad, and per department budget, forecast and BvA each month. Gal is also a part of most business decisions in the company within the company leadership for a long- term, strategic view and planning. Additionally, they handle crypto assets within the company, including asset management and wallets management.

Gal Barel has a Bachelor's degree in Business management and Accounting from The College of Management Academic Studies and a Faculty of Business management – BA from The college of Management. Gal is also a CPA.
