Jeremy Sutton

Jeremy Sutton has extensive work experience in the shipping industry. Jeremy began their career at Blue Star Line as a Trade Analyst in 1997. Jeremy then worked at Australia New Zealand Direct Line (ANZDL) as a Trade Manager from 1998 to 2001. Jeremy joined Tranz Rail in 2002 as a Service Delivery Manager until 2004 when they moved to Auckland Regional Transport Authority as a Contract Manager until 2006. From 2006 to 2010, they worked at Swire Shipping & Tasman Orient Line in Trade Management. Jeremy then joined Swire Shipping in 2010 and held various roles including Line Manager, General Manager - Asia Trades, General Manager - Liner Trades, and Chief Operating Officer before becoming the Chief Executive Officer in August 2022.

Jeremy Sutton attended Scots College Wellington-New Zealand from 1982 to 1991. From 1991 to 1995, they attended Victoria University of Wellington. In 2014, Jeremy completed an Executive Business Course at INSEAD, specializing in the Advanced Management Programme. In 2018, they furthered their education by completing the Exec Strategic Leadership Programme at IESE Business School.
